I have this really important Headcanon where Remus gets to Hogwarts and has no idea how being around people works, since he’s been isolated from people outside his parents practically his whole life. So you can imagine this scrawny little boy with brown curls and skin pale as paper, with this massive red cardigan over his robes and muddy boots with a pink and green bandaid over the bridge of his nose, of course he has no idea how to tie a tie, so he wears it in a bow instead.

So this goofball walks into his very first potions class and his hand shoots up at the very first question, and he stands up and rambles on for about ten minutes about the pros and cons of using mandrake leaves. (having already read through all of the text books,) and you can be sure he isn’t shy with swear words because by age 11 Remus has read every book in the house and has a pretty large vocabulary, and when he’s done he sits down and Sirius black and James potter stand up and applaud him because goddamn, this nerd just said “fucking rare as shit” to a teacher, who is this. All while slughorn has never looked more constipated in his life.

posts like this are why i still log on to this website tbh

making a good superhero is first and foremost about making him a good dad

superheroism is a dichotomy. you are either a good dad or you. are baby.

actually it’s more like this

sorry but if your bed isn’t against at least one wall you’re not valid

I used to think this post was stupid because most people like both sides of the bed free but then I realized some psychopaths put their bed like this so not even the headboard is against a wall and this post is about these animals.

image

A single person’s bed is generally against 2 walls, a couple’s bed is generally against 1 wall, and people with 0 walls have no fear of the dark/unseen with direct access to their head, and therefore cannot be human.

ok the bed just out in the middle of the room is bad but have you considered: only the footboard end against a wall

no i hadn’t. why would you put that image into my head?

The Plum Island Pink House is one of the most famous spite houses in Massachusetts. The house was reportedly built in 1925 and was a husband’s last way to get back at his ex-wife. As a part of their divorce agreement, the husband was required to build an exact replica of their home and give it to her. However, the documents left out a specific location for the house to be built. So the husband obeyed the paperwork and he build the home - on top of a large marsh in the middle of nowhere. The spite house was actually lived in and has been owned by the same family since the 1960s. The house has been rented several times throughout the years but since the early 2000s, it has been abandoned. Community groups have been the main thing that has stopped the house from being demolished.

wait i’m sorry did you say one of the most famous spite houses?

“The dataset was compiled by New York-based activist Sam Lavigne, who trawled the professional profile website LinkedIn to identify some 1,600 people working for ICE. The database included public information like job titles or profile pictures of the officers.”

all public infos so not illegal lmfao

As stated, doxxing is not illegal. Hacking is illegal. Making threats of violence is illegal. Those are separate things unrelated to the act of sharing information itself. When the person you’re doxxing is an agent of a white nationalist regime which is in violation of human rights and international law, it’s not only legal, but also moral.

Here’s a short list (with sources) of things ICE has recently done which are both illegal and immoral:

Kidnapping

Homicide

Torture

Child Abuse

Sexual Assault

Child Neglect

Child Endangerment

Illegal Searches

More Illegal Searches

Lying About Warrants

Harassment of US Citizens

Wrongful Arrest

Police Impersonation

When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty. Law does not always equal justice.

If those who create and enforce the law act in an immoral and abusive fashion, there is no moral obligation to follow the laws which they create to protect themselves and cow their victims into obedience.

The argument that one should prioritize law over justice and morality and refrain from standing up against oppression because the oppressor made it illegal is a fallacy, and it makes you complicit. The Holocaust was legal, standing up to the SS was not. If you have to cite law in a conversation about ethics, you’ve already lost.
